This year’s World Holy Name Festival is going to be bigger than ever. How are you going to spread the glories of the holy name this time?

In 1965, Srila Prabhupada had arrived in the United States of America with a few books, one kartala and some rupees. About 11-years later, he was known all over the world for establishing ISKCON. And all this happened because of the strength of the holy name, which is non-different from Krishna himself, which he continued chanting and spreading wherever he went. This was his most precious gift to the world – the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

To honour this valuable contribution of Srila Prabhupada, in 2007 the ISKCON GBC established an annual worldwide festival dedicated to the celebrating the Holy Name called the World Holy Name Festival.

Each year, a team of dedicated devotees tirelessly work together to make the festival a grand success. Even till now, the team is busy laying the groundwork to make the World Holy Name Festival a special fixture for devotees all around the planet. They encourage all members of ISKCON across all centres and temples worldwide to come together to chant and celebrate this event joyously.

Many drops make a mighty ocean. So each of you, irrespective of age, gender, caste, occupation and any other barrier can contribute to the best of your ability to make this event a grand success. Here are some ideas you’d like to shortlist for the event:

1. Delivering special talks/ seminars on the importance and power of chanting the Holy Name
2. Organise chanting marathons
3. Japa workshops (attending or organising)
4. Organising a Harinam (public harinam, women’s harinam, children’s harinam)
5. Chanting extra rounds during this festival in the honour of Srila Prabhupada

The most important thing is to chant with all your heart wherever you are with enthusiasm, faith and in a mood of gratitude.

Please join with us in celebrating the World Holy Name Festival in your location.

So make sure you block your diary for the week between the 17th and 24th of September, 2018, because the World Holy Name Festival is coming to a town or village near you.
